SharedSolar: Your choice toward a more sustainable future

Citizens Electric is proud to offer SharedSolar to our members. SharedSolar allows members a choice with a different approach toward environmental stewardship. This voluntary program gives Citizens' members the satisfaction that by choosing to participate in SharedSolar, they are helping to lessen dependence on coal, natural gas, nuclear, and other traditional fuel sources.

For pennies per day added to your Citizens Electric bill, you can choose a carbon-free, sustainable source of electric generation. Wabash Valley Power Association, CEC’s electric generation provider, has made this environmental benefits program possible. The WVPA Co-op Solar Program includes solar arrays in each of the states they serve; Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

SharedSolar offers subscriptions for blocks representing renewable electricity for 99¢ per month. A member’s participation level in SharedSolar is based on their average monthly electricity consumption for the past year. Members can sign up for as many blocks* as they choose to help them offset up to 100% of their average electricity usage with renewable power from the sun. CEC Member Services Representatives can help determine the number of blocks for which a member is eligible.

Choose SharedSolar and you choose a more sustainable tomorrow.
