Annual Meter & Pole Inspection Notice
As part of Citizens Electric Corporation's ongoing commitment to providing safe and reliable power, the Corporation contracts annually with Lee Inspection Services to inspect more than 9,000 utility poles across our service area. These inspections follow a seven-year rotation cycle to ensure all equipment remains in optimal condition.
When & Where Crews Will Be Working:
📍 June – Valleyview & Rocky Ridge Substations
Areas: N Hwy 61, Hwy DD, French Village, Parts of Hwy C, Hwy 32
📍 July – Zell Substation
Areas: Hwy M, Parts of Hwy J, Quarrytown Rd, Parts of Hwy P
📍 August – Cedar Fork Substation
Areas: Hwy N, Holmes Rd, Burnt Mill Rd, PCR 844
📍 September – Park Substation
Areas: Hwy E, Parts of Hwy 51, PCR 200, PCR 206, PCR 210, PCR 322
What to Expect:
Lee Inspection Services will use a two-person crew and UTVs to access Citizens Electric easements. Crews will conduct pole and meter inspections to identify erosion or structural issues. Meters require only a visual check and will not be disturbed.
Members in affected areas may receive a courtesy visit from Lee Inspection employees prior to crews entering private property. All personnel have been instructed to remain within the utility easement whenever possible, request permission otherwise, and report any damage immediately.
