Citizens Electric Corporation mourns the passing Doyle Oehl

Citizens Electric Corporation would like to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family of Doyle M. Oehl upon his passing.  Doyle served as a member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Electric Corporation for 24 years until the date of his death on June 28, 2025.

“Oehl was passionate about serving Citizens Electric members and assisting them to have a voice in the Corporation,” Jason Cates, chief executive officer of Citizens Electric, said. “Doyle was well-respected by his colleagues for his commitment to Citizens Electric and its members.”

During his time serving the membership, Oehl served in several additional capacities: board treasurer, and board vice president including special committees such as transportation and risk oversight.

Citizens Electric Corporation will begin the process of filling the vacancy on its Board of Directors.  Anyone who meets qualifications set forth in Article II, Section 2 of the Corporation’s By-Laws and who is interested in being considered to fill the vacancy should complete and submit the Vacancy Director Candidacy Form on or before August 15, 2024.
